June Releases

Summer is just weeks away. So grab your sunscreen, your beach chair, a towel, and some books.

 It's summer reading time!

I love juicy beach reads—books that are a breeze to read or offer a sexy escape.

I love summer! I love the beach!! I love books!!!

Here are the books I want to read this month:

  HISTORICAL ROMANCE

An Outlaw in Wonderland by Lori Austin June 4
The Honor-Bound Gambler by Lisa Plumley May 21
A Rose in the Storm by Brenda Joyce June25
The Hunter
by Monica McCarty
June25

  ❤ Cowboys and Highlanders ❤

An Outlaw in Wonderland is the second book in the Once Upon a Time in the West series. I read the first book, Beauty and the Bounty Hunter—my first Lori Austin book—and loved it. I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of Outlaw.

The Honor-Bound Gambler was actually released in May, but I failed to include it in my May Releases post. I don't normally read western romances, but I loved Lori Austin's book so much, I've decided to give Lisa Plumley's Wild West hero a try.

I've never read a Brenda Joyce novel. Why the heck not?! *smacks forehead*

No one writes sexy alpha Highland heroes like Monica McCarty. =)

  YOUNG ADULT

Born of Illusion by Teri Brown June 11
The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay
June 4

Both of these authors are new to me.

What's on your must-read list this month?

  1. When I was younger I used to read a lot of westerns--mainly because that's what my prairie library had in stock ;)

I'm interested in that first western, but the title sounds so awful! I'll have to contemplate. I think we're going to B&N today, so I'll check and see about the first book.

    1. Nat - I don't know why I don't read more westerns. I like western movies.

Yeah, the title isn't very good. But as we know from "The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden", you can't judge a book by it's awful title.

    2. Yeah, agreed. I looked yesterday at B&N, but they didn't have it in stock. Oh well, maybe next time.

    1. Carrie - Yes, they're historicals. It doesn't seem so from the title, huh. Check out the first book, "The Beauty and Bounty Hunter". I thought it was terrific.
